Abstract
Which it is the most common cause of hypercalcemia is hyperparathyroidism and parathyroid adenoma is the most common cause of hyperparathyroidism. Parathyroid adenomas are due to variations that occur during embryonic development could be ectopic. Manubriotomy, sternotomy or thoracotomy may be required in the operation of ectopic adenomas. Therefore, determining the location of ectopic adenoma before surgery and surgical success is important to select the most appropriate approach. In our case, we aim to be present a 45 years old patient with midline anterior mediastinal parathyroid adenoma and excision with mediastinoscopy.
